10 hours minimum is required

Holders of just ONE category i.e. RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE agents with class 1 or 2 licence are required to complete a minimum of FIVE hours CPD training, including four compulsory topics set for their licence type.

Real estate sales agents must also complete a ONE hour online CPD session with TAFENSW – Underquoting & Price Misrepresentation

Training must be face to face with a recognised training organisation

  • F2F (face to face) on client site or
  • F2F at public training venue or
  • F2F online e.g. zoom meeting

Residential SALES & PROPERTY MANAGERS compulsory topics FIVE hour training Face to Face with topics:-

  • WHS obligations in real estate sales and property management
  • Introduction to Strata for real estate sales and property management
  • Compliance with habitability Standards and landlord information statements

This course provides class 1 and 2 real estate agents with CPD training to reinforce their legal and moral obligations regarding price representation, specifically regarding underquoting.

The mandatory course forms part of the CPD requirements for all class 1 and 2 licensed agents working in residential real estate sales. They are required to complete the course by 30 June 2025.

In this course, agents will learn about:

  • The impact of underquoting on agents, agencies, the industry, and the community
  • Professional and compliance obligations
  • Communication strategies with buyers and sellers
  • Documentation and record keeping
  • Supervision requirements

Agents holding a DUAL LICENSE
i.e. stock and station or strata for example
must complete extra CPD training for their additional license
