WHAT IS PILATES

Pilates is a versatile fitness routine that was created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900’s. The principles of the pilates routine consists of

Pilates has evolved to integrate bio-mechanical thinking and utilises modern equipment to lengthen and stretch all the major muscle groups while creating balance and improving flexibility, mobility and reinforce body awareness.

Chiball® combines the philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine, colour, aromatherapy and movement taken from Tai Chi, dance, Yoga and Pilates. The Chiball® exercise class is practiced to mindful music – followed by relaxation, breathing exercises and meditation. Bringing Mindfulness to life – Chiball programs are a beautiful experience starting with the rejuvenation of the body and emotions, and encourage a way of life that reflects harmony, balance and wellbeing, both within and without.

Focussing on diet alone is not the answer – when starting an exercise routine without the knowledge of why we want it can cause us to fall short of success. Often we train our physical selves without really understanding why we have the impediments that we do – what is stopping us from achieving our desired goals? We push through the stumbling blocks rather than break them down into short-term solutions for often long-term issues.

When too many years of grazing, bad food choices and minimal exercise has taken a toll on your health, it’s time to stop. Allow your spiritual form to begin nurturing your health and overall wellbeing. Sadly, too many women have neglected their physical and psychological needs for too long. I recognise those patterns because I have been one of those women. Supplied with unhealthy foods and inadequate exercise I was feeling the effects on my body and knew that to live a long and fruitful life some major changes needed to take place.
